Step one: Warm-up
1.To watch a video about:Introduce my English teacher.
2.Let’s do:Act like... .
Step two: Presentation
1. T: Look at pictures about Robin and Sarah and please tell us where are they?
Ss: He is at the zoo.
T: Great. Robin and Sarah are at the zoo. Can you guess what are they doing at the zoo?
Ss: They are looking at animals.
T: It’s the first time for Robin to the zoo. So Robin is very excited. (Try to understand the word “excited”)He will see many animals. What animals does he see?
2.Show different pictures of Robin’s different actions. Students try to say words or sentences correctly.
T: Now, please look at the bear?What is the bear doing? Look at these pictures, what is Robin doing?
S1:The bear is dancing.
T: Yes, it is.dancing. How about Robin?
S2:He is looking at the bear. He is dancing like the bear. ( Help students to understand the word “like”)
3.Go on to show pictures one by one on page 53 after reviewing words we learned.
1.Show pictures one by one or watch the cartoon and answer.
Q1: What is Robin doing?
Q2: What are the animals doing?
2.Students read the story and try to answer the questions.
Then, invite some of them to say sentences.
Teacher can show the sentences: The bear is…. / The rabbits are….
Retell the story :If you are Robin,what is Robin doing at the zoo?
T: Animals are doing different actions. What about Robin?( point to the first picture)
S1:I am looking at the bear. I’m dancing like a bear.
T: Next….
S2:I am looking at the rabbits. I am eating like a rabbit.
……
3.Let’s chant
Step three: Consolidation
1.Listen Chen Jie’s diary and then answer :what are the animals doing?
2.Look at the picture and fill in the blank on the worksheet.
