他是个长跑健将，每逢学校召开体育运动会时，他就会成为全校关注的焦点，因为所有长跑项目的冠军全被他包揽了！还记得在一次3000米比赛中，他跑到了终点，后面学生还落下好几圈。结果大家以为他跑少了一圈，于是又让他回头跑起来，等他再次到达终点时，第二名还是和他相差整整一圈，简直让人不敢相信，我们全班同学都激动地陪着他跑，那时他简直就是我们心目中的英雄。
他还非常地爱好写作。记得当时我们都只顾着玩时，他却整天埋头写作，不仅写作文，还写小说。为了体验生活，很老实的他甚至特意跑到游戏机厅去看别人如何玩游戏。他曾经把他写好的第一部长篇小说给我看，好几十张纸，工工整整地用钢笔写在方格稿纸中，让人看了都觉得头晕，真不知道他白天要上课，是如何利用晚上那一点点时间写出来的？有一次他在报纸上发表了一篇文章，还高兴地拿给我看过，看完了我又随手让旁边的学生去看，结果那个同学把报纸当作废纸给擦桌子了。虽然他很伤心，却没有责怪我，到现在想起这件事还觉得很内疚。我想如果换作是我，可能会狠狠地把他臭骂一顿。
屈指算来我们已经有十三年都没有见过面了，也不知道他现在怎么样了？我想他应该还是和当初一样的执着和认真吧？否则他也不会考取研究生！虽然当初我也想满足自己上大学的心愿，可是却被自己各种各样的借口给错过了，但是他真的做到了！所以直到现在他依然是我学习的榜样！
