Rewiew:

1, 背景:the crew’s crossing gantry for ingress. Roger that. Inspired by the late president Kennedy in only seven years, America has risen to the challenge of what he called. The most hazardous and dangerous and greatest adventure on which man has ever embarked. After the Russians for years with our manned space program and after that sudden and horrible fire on the launch pad during a routine test that killed American astronauts Gus Grissom , Ed White and Roger Chaffee, there were serious doubts that we could beat the Russians to the moon.

21,when you were on the far side on 8, I didn’t sleep at all. I just vacuumed over and over again. Chritopher Columbus, Charles Lindbergh, and Neil Armstrong. From now on, we live in a world where man has walked on the moon. It’s not a miracle. We just decided to go. On Apollo 8, we were so close, just 60 nautical miles down and. It was as if I could just step out and walk on the ace of it. I want to go back there.

Review:

1, Christopher Columbus, Christopher Columbus (1451-1506) was an Italian explorer who sailed across the Atlantic Ocean in 1492, hoping to find a route to India (in order to trade for spices). He made a total of four trips to the Caribbean and South America during the years 1492-1504.

2, Charles Lindbergh, Lindbergh, Charles Augustus (1902-1974), an American aviator, made the first solo nonstop flight across the Atlantic Ocean on May 20-21, 1927. Other pilots had crossed the Atlantic before him. But Lindbergh was the first person to do it alone nonstop.

Lindbergh's feat gained him immediate, international fame. The press named him "Lucky Lindy" and the "Lone Eagle." Americans and Europeans idolized the shy, slim young man and showered him with honors.

3, Neil Armstrong: He holds a degree in aeronautical engineering from Purdue University and a masters degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Southern California. From 1949 to 1952, Armstrong was a naval aviator. Upon leaving military service, he became a test pilot. While serving as a test pilot, he was chosen to be a member of the astronaut corps. Though he was on the backup crew of many previous flights, his first space flight occurred in 1966 aboard Gemini 8. During this flight, he and fellow astronaut David Scott successfully performed the first docking in space between two vehicles. In July of 1969, Neil Armstrong was the commander of Apollo 11, America's first attempt to land a manned vehicle on the Moon. On July 20, 1969 Commander Armstrong and fellow astronaut Edwin Aldrin successfully touched down on the lunar surface. As Armstrong became the first person to touch the Moon's surface, he spoke the unforgettable phrase, "That's one small step for man; one giant leap for mankind". He and Aldrin explored the Moon's surface for 2.5 hours. Armstrong was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in recognition of his accomplishments and his contributions to the space program.

Reasons: NASA's earliest programs involved research into human spaceflight and were conducted under the pressure of the competition between the U.S. and the Soviet Union that existed during the Cold War.

Cons : "We need to explore more about the Earth and the D.C. Space exploration is terrific, but it is not worth bankrupting the country."

---- Dennis Kucinich .

He said it is not the time to give the space exploration priority. There will be a great amount of tax of the citizens.

The money should be used in Economic revival, Health care, Education system, Homeland security, Veterans' benefits

Pros: with the difference that NASA has not destroyed lives as the alcohol, tobacco and gambling did. It is not the exploration spirit that Americans need to give up in order to alleviate poverty. It is the consumerist spirit. Instead of not pushing the button, why not kick the habit?
