I’m glad to be here to share with you my definition of success.
When we mentioned the success, the usual worldly criteria are wealth, fame,
high social status and something other like that. In reality, we can’t deny t
these things in some way. But personally, I believe that success is the
realization of people’ hopes and wishes. And to live with a high ideal is a
successful life. It is not what one does, but what one tries to do, that make a
man strong. So I believe that success is ninety-nine percent mental attitude, it
calls for lots of positive quality: effort, love, diligence, efficiency and so
on. I think the successful life always have these characters. If a person
inherits his family’s millions and leads an easy life, he is not a successful
person in material terms, it just can be said that he has the smooth way of
life, he is lucky in some way, but that is not the success .Unceasing effort is
the price of success. No matter what is the result, we always can get more from
the process. What we should do is that insisting on our goals or dreams and
always encourage
ourselves to challenge more, to hold the opportunities, never give up. It
sounds like simple, but it is really hard to do. Also the key points of the
success.
Relatively speaking, in our daily life, success would be rather simple. For
me, I’m standing here to take part in the speech competition is somehow also
success. As I’m a easy to suffer from stage fright, I choose to hold this
chance, my goal is my own character training——to be more confident, to have more
courage to front such situation, I really do it, I have truly gained by
participating, I’m success.
What is success? I’m sure that everyone has his own interpretation as I do.
In the inspiring words of Philips Brooks:〝 Do not pray for tasks equal to your
powers ,pray for powers equal to your tasks, then the doing of your work shall
be no miracle, but you shall be the miracle.〞 So believe in our hopes ,believe

Success
When it comes to success, different people have different opinions about what
makes it come true. Some people regard hard-working as an essential quality to
success while others believe being clever would lead to success. From my point
of view, I think perseverance and hard-working are indispensable for those who
want to make an achievement.
Firstly, perseverance let people step closely towards success. Most people
want to make a big difference to prove their value. People who set their goal
and keep moving would make their dream come true. However, there are some people
who set their goal but they stop at the difficulty would fail in the end. I
think the difference between success and failure is perseverance. If we have
perseverance, even if we are not clever, we will make a great difference, but if
we not, we are doomed to lose. As we all know, Edison is a great inventor in the
world. However, before he invented the bulb, he kept trying for tens of
thousands of times to find a suitable wire. Let us imagine, if he gave up at the
999th, then how he couldn’t become so successful. So, I strongly believe that
perseverance produces success.
Secondly, there is also a kind of people who are born with cleverness, I
think they are lucky. Nevertheless, if they don’t make a hard work on their way
to their goal, they, absolutely, will become loser. Whether we are gifted for
intelligent, we must be hard-working so as to success. I regard hard-working as
an efficient approach to be successful because I believe ‘pains and gains’. As
for those who do not make great efforts on work, failure follows. In old times,
there is a clever boy who can make e_cellent poem when he can talk. When his
father found the little child’s cleverness, he just let the child make poems to
show around while never let the boy learned anything. When the boy grew up,
people forgot him because he lost the ability to compose poems and became
ordinary as others. From this matter, we can see that only by hard-working can
we get knowledge and make a good future.
Anyway, I think perseverance and hard-working are both important in our way
to success for they enhance us and produce success.

As we all known, the man who wants to be success should have a good
disposition. As the saying goes, 〝disposition decide to everything.〞 I remember

success. From my point of view, I deemed it success should also rely on these
factors: diligent, confident, humor. It can help us to open the door of
success.
There is no denying that diligent is the first step to the success. As the
proverb says, no pains, no gains. Absolutely, guess that a person without
diligent, how can he get achievements. Many successful people have become famous
in the world by their diligent. Therefore we should take diligence as a good
habit rather than lazy at every time.
Edison said 〝confident is the mother of the success. There is no doubt that
confidence is important to our daily life .If someone without confident, he will
never succeed in the end of his life. If someone trusted himself, he would
gained more chance to succeed. How could you get other’s trust if you didn t
trust yourself?
In addition, humor plays an important role in our life. It’s obvious that a
sense of humor can bring happiness to others and get involved to a group easily.
Just like my friend who is an energetic and lovely boy. The boss and staff like
him very much. Boss thinks highly of him in the
company. Sometimes, we should learn to how e_press humorously. A sense of
humor can create une_pected result.
From what has been mention above, a good disposition is an important factor
to our success. Therefore, how to develop a good disposition is essential.

In my eyes, opportunity is a part of success. Many great people found great

words, no matter what we do, making outstanding contributions to the development
of our country and bringing help and happiness to others is success.
To achieve success, we should ,first of all, have a clear long-term goal in
our life. Second ,we be both perseverant and hardworking. Whatever we do, there
are always two possibilities: success and failure. We should never lose heart
when we come across difficulties or when we are confronted with failure.
Instead, we should learn from our e_perience, build up our confidence and work
even harder and smarter towards our purpose. Third ,we should follow the
e_amples of those who are successful and learn from them. Finally ,we should try
to get along well with our classmates and colleagues. We should care each other
and help each other in our study, our work and our life, because work is of
great importance in the realization of our dream.
If we can follow these principles, we will certainly achieve remarkable
success in our life.

I have some good advice for your work. If you can do the following things,
you will succeed in doing everything.
Firstly, whatever you do, you must be punctual and hard-working. If you sow a

all. Nothing.
Secondly, you must be honest. As honesty is the moral tuition that everyone
