Destination
Good morning, distinguished ladies and gentlemen,
The weather is so cold but I’m so honored to be here and give you a speech. My topic today is Destination. I think it’s really a beautiful word and I’m happy to say something about it from my perspective.
First,I want to say,make your destination clear. Life is all about trying to make up your mind, and our lives should be full of decisions. We can regard those decisions as destinations. It’s obviously that every one has his or her own destinations during many different periods of time. Martin Luther King’s destination is making this world a better and more peaceful place. Liu xiang’s destination is setting a new world record, and my destination today is standing on this big stage and making my voice heard. Then, what’s your destination ? You should make your destination clear so that you can enhance your life with efforts and satisfactions.
Next, I’d like to place a significant emphasis on struggling for your destination. Like flowers need water and soil to live on, destinations need our perspiration and efforts to approach. No one born to be an excellent runner, but good runners are obviously always striving for their aims. So, please constantly aim toward struggling and running, never lose your faith to fulfill yourself.
Finally,the uppermost one I’d like to highlight is, do not lay too much stress on the destination. Many people, especially our students, are always concerning about the results under the background of the current Chinese educational system. What I want to say is, enjoy your process of struggling, be happy in the journey of participation. Tagore once said, if you shed tears when you miss the sun ,you also miss the stars. So, why not do what you should do without thinking too much about the results. In fact, you’ll find at last, you can reach for your destination and get all the flowers and applause belong to you.
Last but not least, I hope all of your destinations can be filled with joy and happiness. Please remember, make your destination clear, struggle for your destination, and also enjoy the process. That’s my speech today, thanks for your listening.
